WHO CAN GET FOOD AT THE FRIDGE?

Anyone who needs food is welcome to use the community fridge. No documentation is required, and it is open 24/7. However, please understand that due to the nature of the fridge, food availability is not guaranteed at all times. The fridge relies on the support and generosity of the community, and the need is high. It’s important to note that food donations and supplies fluctuate, and sometimes the fridge may be empty.

This project is entirely volunteer- and community-driven, and it thrives on mutual aid. We encourage everyone to contribute, whether by donating food or spreading the word. You can be the change that helps make sure there is always something for those visiting the fridge.

WHAT CAN I DONATE?

The fridge accepts nearly all types of food, except for uncooked meat and frozen items. To maintain food safety standards, we cannot accept raw meat. Additionally, we don't have a freezer, so we are unable to store frozen items.

Prepared meals are in high demand, and dairy products are especially requested. Fruits and vegetables are always needed, along with snacks. Beverages such as water, soft drinks, and juices are also appreciated. Since the fridge serves a diverse community, we welcome a variety of culturally relevant foods as well as options catering to different dietary preferences, such as vegetarian or vegan.

If you'd like to prepare your own meals, that would be wonderful! Please make sure to label the meal with a list of ingredients, the date it was prepared, and a "best by" date.
